  1. Wimbledon is an English lawn-tennis centre 
  2. used for international championship matches,
  3. it is situated in south London. There are 
  4. currently 18 tennis courts. The first centre
  5. was at Worple Road when it was the home of 
  6. the All England Croquet Club. Tennis was 
  7. first played there in 1875, and in 1877 the
  8. club was renamed the All England Lawn Tennis
  9. and Croquet Club. The first all England 
  10. championship was held in the same year.
